Kumamoto University

I introduce Kumamoto University. I have been there one time. I thought that university is so shabby, but I felt it has many history. That university is near our university, but I don't know it too much and my grandmother have enter the Kumamoto hospital, so I want to know it. I especially investigate the buildings of the history.

First, I introduce the hospitals in affiliation. My grandmother have enter the Kumamoto hospital once. The hospitals in affiliation with Kumamoto University has the clinic department, the medicine department, the nursing department and the center of the doctor's office and the number of the sickbeds are 843. An average of the number of outpatients exceed 1,100. Now it aim the completion which is enough to shoulder medical science and medical treatment in 21 century and built new wards and the center of the clinic. Moreover, it promote the establishment of the synthetic system of the clinic which combine the highly advanced medical treatment with the whole comprehensive medical treatment.

Second, on May in 20 Meiji period, the 5 junior high school was established as the highest school in Kyusyu at that time and it was build by Yamaguchi hanroku and Kume Masamichi. It was cost about 100 thousand yen. On September in 27 Meiji period it was renamed the 5 high school. Kanouti Gorou who is a third-generation principal and Nastume Souseki were teaching. That building was completed as the classroom of the 5 high school on August in 1889. The building which remain as the classroom of the red bricks in the whole country is only the 5 high school and the main building of the 4 high school and this building of the English fashion of the picture is the room of chemical experiment and it is designated as an important cultural property in this country. It goes through wind and snow and now it keeps the graceful remnant because of the careful design and maintenance. Especially, the foundation work is a depth of 9 Japanese feet and it is implanted many stones in Sira river.

Third, the mechanical experiment factory of the old Kumamoto high school remains the then construction in 1909. The roof is many tiles, the wall is the red bricks and the white stones are used for the pillars. There are the boiler house and the steamer house in the inside. The 60 articles of machines and models are preserved for movement and the 2900 kinds of the specimens of ores are exhibited. That building was designated as an important cultural property in 1994.

Lastly, I like to see the old buildings, so I enjoyed investigating them. I felt some histories. I thought I wanted to go to Kumamoto University, but I reconsider Kumamoto Gakuen University has good equipment to study English. I want to visit Kumamoto University to act that student someday.
